Taking a boat trip to Isla de Los Lobos

There are two boats that make regular trips from Corralejo harbour to the island every day. You can get off on Lobos and spend half or the whole day relaxing on the beach or snorkelling in the shallow turquoise waters.

You can surf here when the waves and the wind allow, or you can walk around the volcano and see some of the many species of plants and birds that are unique to this area. If you don't fancy spending the day, or the weather isn't too good, you can make the round trip; sailing from Corralejo harbour, landing on Lobos, then watching the fish before sailing back to Corralejo; a mini-cruise of around 45 - 60 minutes.

The two boats are the glass bottomed 'El Majorero' and the maritime excursion boat 'Isla de Lobos'. Each boat has a kiosk in Corralejo harbour, where you can find all the information that you may need and you can purchase your tickets.

Do be warned though, that if the weather changes whilst you are on the island there is nowhere to take shelter, as the restaurant that was previously here has now closed down. On the flip side of the coin, do also make sure that you have adequate sun protection and plenty of liquid with you, particularly if you have children. Whilst the shallow pools here are ideal for kids, there is no shade and the summer sun can be fierce. So be prepared!

More information on the island can be found on our Los Lobos page.
